Vtg E. Torres Wire MCM Elephant Mammoth Sculpture 16" Model Animalier Brutalist

Up for consideration is a vtg Mid Century Wire Brutalist Sculpture or Model of
an Elephant by listed artist Eduardo Torres. This particular piece is signed on the base "E. Torres 69". It stands about 15 inches in height by 16 inches in length with a width of around 7 inches. The piece is in good condition with some old dust in and around the feet etc...it has a wonderful wooden base with some distressed paint. The wire is affixed to the base with a variety of nails. Torres is a listed artist who appears to have dabbled in sculptures...there are few things that show up in the record ...a fellow reading a paper and a sculpture of Don Quitoxe which sold for about $450. When I first looked at it I thought it was Wolly Mammoth when looking at the tusks but maybe it's just an elephant. It really deserves to be highlighted with some room to breath.
