Up for consideration is a fine pair of French or Dutch School Marine paintings.
One is signed E...S.t?es...y?g?The painting have been professionally restored that is they have been laid down on canvas. There is some Craquelure finish to both. Upon close examination to the side of the stretcher one can see were the old canvas was and that it has been affixed to the canvas liner. Looks to date from about the mid part of the 19th century or slightly earlier. These have great decorative appeal as they were made to be together...as one can see how the boats compliment each other in the way that they are situated.
