Up for consideration is a fine Nursery Rhyme Illustration by listed Detroit
Artist Joseph L. Kraemer (1872-1938). The piece measures 19 inches by 27 inches in height. Which is quite a large size. The illustration depicts the artists rendition of Tommy Snooks and Bessy Brooks...the exact Book is unknown. It really is well done and I would say it is absolutely charming. The hands are spot on... It dates from about the early 20's. I have 3 illustrations from the same book. Most have light pencil instructions denoting coloration and future additions or adaptations. So please take a look at all 3 they are great.. I have uncovered over 20 Kraemer illustrations in a portfolio from an old collectors estate recently so please keep an eye on my listing as you may be pleasantly surprised at the quality of work and talent of J.L. Kraemer that has been hidden away for decades. Mind you he has a rather soft auction history however the pieces that have been offered thus far have been rather soft.
