Kit Schweitzer 1944-2017 Zuni Native American 51" Fountain Sculpture Arizona

Up for consideration is a large Figural Fountain of Native North American woman carrying a basket on head. The piece is signed "Kit Schweitzer" for Christopher Lewis "Kit" Schweitzer (1944-1917). The piece stands about 51.5 inches in height by about 25 inches in diameter at the base. It comes with an old pump and consists of 2 pieces a round plafonnier base. There is some plumbing that runs up through the center of the piece on her head...so I would imagine the water cascades down over the figure. It was purchased some time in the late 70's or early 80's directly from the artist by the estate of which it was purchased. Apparently cost about $3000 dollars back then. It appears to be made of Cement and Ferro with painted motifs of indigenous Native Americans of Arizona of which the artist was a resident...Kit worked in many mediums and came from a family of artists.
