Vernon Morse California, MI "Pasado Manana Beach" Sailboat Seascape Oil Painting

up for consideration is fine old original California Coastal Beach painting by
listing California Artist Vernon Jay Morse (1898-1965). The painting itself without the frame measures 13.75 by 19.75 with the overall dimensions being around 19 by 23 inches which of course is with the frame. It is done on artist canvas board. The painting is signed in the lr it is also signed and tilted on verso "Pasado Manana Beach" it is signed in script with title on backing corrugated cardboard and then signed titled with artist surname and scripted signature on the back of the paper backing. Obviously was very proud of his work and for good reason. The painting depicts a beach with rocks to left as a sailboat is moving to the distant right. It is well done and super clean and bright as it has been behind glass for 80+ years. I am getting old! Here is some biographical information gleaned from an art index 

Vernon Jay Morse (1898 - 1965) was active/lived in California, Michigan.  Vernon Morse is known for Landscape, illustrator, graphics.

Painter, printmaker, illustrator. Born in Benton Harbor, Ml on Sept. 9, 1898. While a resident of San Francisco in 1919-25, Morse was a pupil of Spencer and Constance Macky at the CSFA. He was active in the Pasadena area from the late 1920s and by the late 1930s was living in Sierra Madre, CA. He died in Burbank, CA on March 5, 1965.
