up for consideration is a California Mission painting of probably San Juan
Capistrano. The painting is signed "S.Dick 35" and measures 16 by 21 inches with the overall dimensions being 21 by 27.5 inches more or less. The painting is in good condition with no visible repairs...the frame is reinforced like a crate on the back with heavy duty reinforced boards... of which it was probably shipped or transported by Train across the country. It has a label for a company on Grand River Ave. in Detroit Michigan which states the company retailed and wholesaled items... The estate was that of a Doctor so it is possible it was purchased at the retail outlet in Detroit or possibly shipped back to that address to be picked up. Not sure.
