Up for consideration is a unique Trompe L'oiel form oil painting of garniture
set on a table top by listed artist Robert Hall (1852-1942). The painting is unusual in size and shape...it measures 54.5 inches in length by 18.375". It is titled on the back "Flowers with Chinese Dragon Bowl". It looks to be dated 1921...however the insurance appraisal states that it is dated 1931. The painting depicts 2 candles with a Chinoiserie style bowl holding Roses...the interesting part is that the piece is life size meaning it is the size that things would actual be in real time. It looks like a Trompe L'oiel painting that maybe done to hang over a Mantel or behind a sideboard. Anyways it is quite well done. It sports it's original period frame.
