Rare Dep Goebel S487/1 Orange Elephant Creamer Pitcher, 1930s Double Crown TMK-1 Mark, German Porcelain Figural Art Deco Pitcher

$ 82.00
This early German Goebel porcelain elephant creamer pitcher (Model S487/I)
finished in a vibrant, glossy orange glaze features a whimsically styled elephant with hand-detailed black accents on the toes and eyes, white tusks, and a distinctive black-and-white striped handle.

•Markings & Authenticity: The base is fully marked with the incised design code "S487/I", the historic "Dep" design registration text, and the pre-1950 TMK-1 "Double Crown" trademark (featuring both an incised crown and a stamped black crown logo), confirming a late 1930s manufacturing date. •Condition: Overall in good vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or crazing. Areas with minor paint loss present.

• Please note two details characteristic of an 80+ year old piece-

Side Recess: There is an original factory-inherent mold indentation near the bottom which is fully covered in the original bright orange glaze from production (this is part of the manufacturing process, not damage).

Interior: The white interior shows typical age-appropriate discoloration/staining from use. Imperfections shown in last 3 pictures.

•Dimensions: Measures approximately 5 3/8" tall and 5 1/2" from spout to handle.

Friendly reminder that vintage items may have imperfections due to age, previous use, or manufacturing blemishes consistent with the era of their origin. Carefully review photos as they are part of each item's description. I do note in the description any flaws I have found.

Please note color may vary slightly due to different lighting or phone/computer settings.
