The letter is completely transcribed below. Chelsea April 20: 1849 Dear Sir, Yours of the 16th ?? Boston enclosing $131.12 was rcd in due season.  If the horse did not appear as well as you expected I am very sorry and think it must be owing to some inquiry rcd in his passage down.  Judge Blodgett informs us that it is hard work for a horse to ride in the cars - that they sometimes perspire quite profusely - that they often crowd into one corner and rub their posterior.  Should it be the case that he rcd any inquiry I hope he has recovered of it eve this time.  I gave any particular written directions to have him blanketed at night and after his arrival at Boston, should he be in a state of perspiration.  He was weighed in this town Thursday of last week and at that time his exaact weight was 987-1/2 #Your friends in this place are in usual health.   Mrs. Tinker (the widow of Capt. ??) was buried today.  L.T. Noble, do. a weekd ago last Sabbath.  I am sincerely and truly yours Harry Hale. Dr. A.T.  Lowe * * * * * * * * * * *
