7022----1857 Dauphin Journal Middletown PA -- annexation of Portsmouth

This is the original issue of the Dauphin Journal, April 16, 1857 (Middletown PA) concerning the resolution to annex the adjacent town/village of Portsmouth. The historic report encompasses almost the entire front page of this newspaper. I have photo'd several parts of the large article as well as other interesting areas of the paper. The issue remains in fair-good condition considering it's age, and is completely readable. You will see some discoloration, wrinkles, creases, uneven borders, etc. This newspaper is four pages and measures an enormous size of 23 x 34 when opened. Will be carefully shipped folded, as it is remains now.
