2108----1850 JOSHUA LOWELL - HALLOWELL MAINE - DAILY ALMANAC/LEDGER ENTRIES Original 1850 almanac kept by well known merchant/pioneer Joshua Lowell of Hallowell Maine. Lowell has clearly signed his name and hometown on the front cover. Many handwritten entries throughout the year which include numerous farming details. Several names are noted, costs of various goods, services, and produce. Random entries are shown. The almanac measures 5 x 3-1/4 and has held up pretty well considering it's age and daily handling. Some foxing, cover wear, etc. but no major issues.  Overall in good condition. The pencil notes are light but can still be deciphered. Several business ads and the usual weather and calendar content. Please review the 1850 Hallowell Maine census which reveals the large Joshua Lowell family.
