N008----1916 Sloan family of Franklin PA - original glass negative with print

N008----1916 SLOAN FAMILY OF FRANKLIN PA - ORIGINAL GLASS NEGATIVE WITH PRINT Fine looking image identified as the "Sloan family." The original glass negative has been stored in an old envelope with the notation: "Sloan family group, 10/8/16" Although there were a few Sloan families living in the Franklin PA area over the years, after researching on ancestry.com and going through obits in Franklin, I am confident this is the John and Mary Sloan family.    This is the only family I could find which had 1 son and 5 daughters. The daughters married surnames became:       Downing, Murphy, Way, Tincler John Sloan died in 1938 and wife Mary (Gealy) in 1928. It appears that the elder Sloan is hiding his hand from the camera.  Upon close inspection of his right hand, he does have it wrapped in some kind of bandage wrapping.  See my image. The obituaries are presented here for both John + Mary.   John Sloan was a Civil War Veteran, so maybe this explains his hand injury. The buyer receives the original 8 x 10 glass negative as well as the fine print that was created with the help of a local photography store.   Original images are more in focus than I am able to present in this listing.
