This is an extremely rare Late Victorian Parlor floor lamp with original hand
painted and beaded shade and highly decorated base. It stands about 64 inches in height with a width of 22 inches of the shade. The wooden base has a series of hand painted floral embellishments with fine glass beading applied in the paint...much like someone adding sand to paint texture a surface the surface of the wood has a multitude of small glass beads. Likewise the shade is of the same way. There are 4 panels all of which are florals of roses...there is some threaded beaded trim along the edge also. There are 2 infractions to two small side panels of the shade which are small and not part of any scene....these shades are so fragile and artists do there best to try and replicate them...and ask thousands of dollars as they are in their own right a work of Art.
