These hand-painted ceramic deer bookends reminiscent of classic "Bambi"
illustrations, are mounted on solid wood bases and perfectly capture the whimsical kitsch of the mid-century era. They are a perfect addition to a woodland-themed nursery, a vintage library collection, or for anyone who loves retro forest friends!The ceramic fawns are free from chips and cracks. One of the fawns has minor loss of paint on tip of an ear. The original wooden bases show some vintage wear, including light surface scratches and scuffs consistent with age (see photos for details). They remain sturdy and ready for display. Each measures approx 5 3/4" tall with a 5 1/4" width and 3 3/4" depth.
