Signed Rune Glifberg Pro Red Dragon FLIP Skateboard Deck 2000s

Vintage 200s, signed Rune Glifberg Pro Red Dragon FLIP Skateboard Deck only. This board whose design was inspired by pro skater, Rune Glifberg's Scandinavian roots has a big fire-breathing dragon in red and black with a yellow eye covering the majority of the bottom of this deck. This dragon represents Jormongandr, the viscious sea serpent of Norse mythology. Rune Glifberg was a core part of Flip Skateboards from it searlierst days when it was known as Deathbox Skateboards out of the UK. When skateboarding plateaued in the 1990s, Glif berg moved with the brand to Huntington Beach, CA when the brand was supported and funded by Tony Hawk. Glifberg, known for his versatility and smooth riding, became an X Games icon and expanded his exposure after becoming the first playable character in Tony Hawk's video game franchise. Glifberg later moved to Leucadia, north coastal San Diego, where the local skate scene was expanding. It was here that this board comes from, given to a local who assisted him in refinancing his home in the area. The board is signed in black marker: To Stan, Thanks for the express refi, Rune Glifberg. The board has been used as wall art, never ridden.
